1574 Sebastian Münster antique map of the mining areas in Alsace France (before part of Germany - Treaty of Westphalia).
It was created by Sebastian Münster, a German cartographer and cosmographer who lived from 1489 to 1552.
The map shows in hand coloring the area along the Liepvrette River valley (from Eckkirch bis Liepvre.) with historical places and villages.
Original 16th century antique map in hand coloring.
The map was published in Basel, Switzerland by Henri Petri.
This is an original woodcut and shows some signs of use. It is sticked at the top on cardboard.
This map is a great addition to any collection of antique maps or art.
It is also a valuable piece of historical documentation.
