Glass bowl designed by Alvar Aalto for the finnish Company Iittala. Alvar Aalto designed the bowl for the first time in 1936. A craft that today there are only seven Scandinavian glassblowers who can master and keep this stylish glass bowl alive. The form is inspired by the lovely finnish nature, in particular one of all the lakes. This peace is acid hand signed ‘Alvar Aalto’ and it is numbered 124/1997. Condition: The bowl/dish has been used a few times, and has got some non-slip pads on the bottom. There is a tiny black dot inside of the glass, which can happen with these handmade/blown items. Furthermore there are a very few scratches and a small unevenness on the edge, but not even the camera could capture it as it is very superficial. Comes in the original box. #collectorsjapandi
