Ancestral Rice Guardian (Tiang Pagar). made of (zebra?)wood. Such pole were placed at each of the four corners of the rice field to repel evil entities. Stand included. Antique piece with beautiful patina. This statue is a very fine example of a spirit figure which deduced from its inspiration in Hindu iconography. This is an original, antique wooden / brass Statue from Molukken (Indonesia). If you look at the photos you will see the nice patina of the brass and state of the old (teak) wood. It will come with custom made iron stand on which the statue reaches a height of 58cm. The item itself is arround 52cm
