Woodblock print on thick washi paper by Japanese artist Masahiko Honjo (b. 1963).
Titled "When it's light blue".
Editioned, titled and signed in pencil by the artist.
Masahiko Honjo was a student of the famous artist Ido Masao. He belongs to a small group of leading, top woodblock printmakers in Japan. He exhibits mostly in Japan at renowned galleries with solo and group shows. For years the artist has been a regular contributor to the prestigious annual CWAJ shows.
This print offers a good example of his combination of perfect designs, harmonious colors and technical skills.
