Large white nephrite jade pendant, pixiu –China- 20th Century On offer is an old white Qing period large hand cut Chinese nephrite jade pendant, beautifully crafted at the front and back. A pixiu can be seen on the front side, together with cash coins and linghzi fungus. Lotus leafs and cash coins can be seen at the backside. At the top there is a small hole for a hanging cord. This fine jade pendant passes the scratch test for good hardness, no scratch with sencys hardmetal scratch pen possible! Also checked with UV light; which indicates that this pendant might have been bleached in time. Also measured for density; Measured density (2,960g/cm3), this corresponds with average density of nephrite jade. Also tested for thermal conductivity, which indicates Nephrite jade.
