Indfødt kobber - Rocklands kobbermine, Cloncurry, Queensland, Australien - Højde: 2.3 cm - Bredde: 1.1 cm- 3.28 g

Watch a video of this specimen by following the Vimeo link below: https://vimeo.com/944039878 Native copper is part of the 'grand slam' of naturally occurring finely crystallized metals (along with gold and silver) and undoubtedly the most important among them for our societies since the second half of the last century and for upcoming times: the super high electrical conductivity of metal copper makes it indispensable for conveying electrons and delivering power to any electric device. Here you have an exceptionally well crystallized native copper crystal from Rocklands copper mine in Australia! You can notice the sharp skeletal-dendritic shape as well as spinel law twinning planes, both indicators of fast crystal growth. The patina is beautiful and reminiscent of a gourmet chocolate. On the left side, you can also see small brecciated quartz grains partly trapped in between the copper crystal faces. The opportunity to obtain a superb and unique Australian specimen of this increasingly sought after metal!
