Oldtidens Egypten Alabaster Andekar
Delicately carved alabaster in the form of a trussed duck. The neck arches far from the body, the eyes inlaid with copper. Exquisite. Trussed ducks were a common offering to the dead. It is possible that this vessel was made for the tomb and not to be used in daily life.
