New Beginnings: the Single Blended Rum of the Hampden Estate celebration Hampden New Beginnings is a special edition created specifically to celebrate the wedding of Christelle Harris and Matthew Hann on June 3, 2023. It is a blend, conceived in collaboration with Luca Gargano, of OWH 2014 and <> H 2017, which takes up the unique style of the rum of Hampden Estate, a historic Jamaican distillery active since 1753. This is a unique rum, which is characterised by spring water, prolonged fermentation and wild yeast, distillations in pot still double retort of copper, tropical aging in ex-bourbon barrels and no addition of sugar or additives. Located in the province of Trelawny, in the great cru of Jamaican rum, and managed since 2009 by the Hussey family, Hampden Estate is known for having the best land s of the country, with one of the highest yields per hectare.
