Rare Ancient Silver Pendant with Menorah
possibly roman and probably Circa 1st century AD or later
This silver pendant comprises a cylindrical tube with knobbed ends and raised borders. At its central section, there's an applied circular plaque with a ropework border, encircling an image of a menorah with beaded arms. The pendant features a large suspension loop behind the plaque. It comes with a modern cord necklace.
The menorah depicted on the plaque is a symbol of the Jewish faith, representing the seven-branched candelabrum used in the ancient Temple in Jerusalem.
