2021 Chateau Capet-Bégaud - Canon-Fronsac - 12 Flasker (0,75 L)

12 bottles of Chateau Capet-Begaud Canon-Fronsac. The vintage is 2021. This former post house located on the road to Compostela would have hosted Hugues Capet. Since 1969, it has belonged to the Roux family, owner of several estates in Fronsadais. A classic blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine, with a dense and deep purple color, delivers a bouquet of ripe black fruits mixed with toast when aerated. Firm and fresh on the attack, the palate displays great power, carried by solid tannins and an elegant woodiness which lets the fruit express itself in a long finish. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 to 15 months. Certainly cellarable, this wine can lie dormant in the cellar for atleast five to ten years. Chateau Capet-Begaud is a very limited production: only 24 to 30.000 bottles are produced every year. Canon-Fronsac is a subregion in Fronsac, neighbour of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion. Canon-Fronsac is being considered as the better part of Fronsac, producing the best wines within the appellation. The single bottles will be shipped to you in a secure, protective packaging to prevent damage.
