Ancient Egyptian Red Stone Fly Amulet
Circa 1550–1070 BC, New Kingdom
This red stone amulet takes the form of a fly with detailed wings and body.
Ancient Egyptians commonly wore fly-shaped amulets as protective symbols against disease and misfortune. These amulets were believed to offer spiritual protection and ward off negative influences.
