Cécile Tremblay, the great-grand-daughter of Édouard Jayer, and the great-niece of Henri Jayer, had found her calling. When Édouard died, the Jayer family decided to lease the vineyard to other local winemakers, who then worked on it for two generations. In 2003, half of the parcel was returned to the family, and the children were asked to care for it. Surprisingly, Cécile was the first to jump on the occasion! Thanks to her decision, the Jayer vineyard became a family estate once again. She doesn't waste any time: biodynamic farming becomes the golden rule for her 4 hectares of grapevines, located in the Côte de Nuits (she's certified Écocert since 2005). As she sees it, the vineyard is alive and must be respected. Like a true alchemist, the woman some people now call the "new Lalou Bize-Leroy" works tirelessly on her wines, helping the terroir to shine through.
