Decorative cup in chiseled bronze, patinated and gilded, work of art of exceptional quality... This cup was donated by the members of the society of Encouragement to Agriculture in the Arrondissement of Yvetot (Normandy) and its friends to former Senator Mr Jules LESOUEF (1831-1911) in October 1900. The decor: Beautiful central medallion, carved with a scene of the golden age with the shepherds of Arcadia, titled AETAS AUREA, signed Ferdinand Levillain (1837-1905) This cup is signed Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892) Beautiful decor with a frieze of animals, musical instruments, masks and mythological or ancient objects flanked by two handles with ram’s heads The cup is based on a quadruped base with heads of Romans, supported by claw feet Dimensions: Total length with the handles: 40 cm Cup diameter: 29.2 cm Maximum height: 12.5 cm Weight: 3.2 kg Worldwide secured shipping in double packaging with track and trace and insurance.
