Michael W Huggins - Still life of books and jug

I am offering for auction a superb 20th century oil on canvas still life of books and jug, by listed artist Michael W Huggins, born 1927. The painting is in fairly good order. Please look at all pictures for an accurate idea of condition. Might do with a light clean. The frame is worn with missing gesso. Could be replaced. Ready to hang and enjoy as it is. Postage via DPD, UPS or Parcel force depending on country. Michael or M.W. Huggins was a contemporary still life English painter. Michael Huggins was born in 1927 at Holly Lodge, near Kenilworth, England. Studied at Eton and Sandhurst Military College, and later served with the Grenadier Guards. Painted and studied in Zurich, Paris, and La Jolla, California. Huggins returned to England before relocating to Majorca, Spain. Among the collectors of his works are His Majesty King Simeon of Bulgaria, Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia, the Duchess of Windsor, Ivan Ivanovitch (Bristish Consul to Monaco), Whitney Straight (Chairman of Rolls Royce), Arthur Murray, and many others. Majorca or Mallorca is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is the largest island in the Balearic Islands archipelago, in Spain. In the 1950’s he lived in Mallor, California. Take a look at my other auctions at https://auction.catawiki.com/lotsfrom/Funkibug Please note. If you live on an island which is part of Spain or Italy, Sicily or Canary Islands for example, postal prices are higher than mainland Italy or Spain. Please be aware of this and contact me for a postal quote. It costs more to post to an island than mainland. I only charge what I am charged. Please note. Frames are delicate and can occassionally take a knock in the post. I wrap paintings very well but you bid on this lot with the understanding that you accept this small risk when bidding.
