Beautiful advertising mirror for bars « Bière de la Meuse «  France, 1940 Size: 65cm x 40cm Framework of 3cm in width. Good general condition despite some pitting on the mirror (see pictures 9, 10 & 11) and chip on the wooden frame (see photo 12, 13 & 14). Only slightly visible once it will be in place (see pictures for complete details). In very good condition given its age. La Meuse has been a rich industrial past in the field of brewing with 40 producers in the middle of the 19th century. From the 1870s on, competition and an industrial merger lead to the closure of many sites. In the aftermath of WW1, only 10 breweries were left, of which the most important: brasseries "La Meuse" and "La Croix de Lorraine" in Bar-le-Duc. The mythical "La Meuse" ads have marked the national imagination for nearly a century and have toured the world. Orderly shipped in a box lined with polystyrene with insurance up to the delivery.
