Special sculpture by Giuseppe Armani, from early in his career when he was still signing using his initials A.G. (Armani, Giuseppe). Typical for Armani’s work are the extremely precise details and anatomical correctness of his sculptures. About the material, alabaster: This is a material often used in Italy, also called artificial marble. Although real ground marble could be a part of this material, it is explicitly not a real marble sculpture. The sculpture is solid and heavy in weight. It has a gorgeous matte (not glossy), white / beige colour. Signed (A.G.). Minor damage to the big toe of the left foot of the woman, and a (hair)crack in the wooden base, please take a look at the photos. Apart from this, the work is in a (very) good used condition.
