Perfect and beautiful ivory sculpture of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Mother of Jesus Authentic Indo-Portuguese Sculpture of the XVII Century. With traces of polychromy and with exceptional patine. The figure is represented standing, with hands in prayer, with a slight advancement of the left leg. Long tunic up to the feet and a beaded collar around the neck. Both feet are protruding and visible. Long hair, falling on lateral folds on the front and in wavy tresses, over the back. There is a small professional repair in one side of the crescent moon, though this is not readily discernible Height of the figure: 12.5 cm (without stand). NB this lot cannot be sold outside the EU.
