From 1834, the Board looked for a percussion musket to replace the former flint, in 1839, and the military of the Tower of London began to convert the existing flint to the new percussion system. In October 1841, a fire swept the Tower, destroying thousands of muskets for conversion purposes. This resulted in a shortage of arms to the shoulders and the Pattern 1842 Musket was launched in production.
modelled after the Brown Bess, is a smooth.75 calibre
British crown TOWER, a lot of English punches and Royal crown, manufactured by British empire in London, does not bear the lion East India Company. This rifle and so quite rare, many are copies or Indian manufacturing, this rifle is signed under the barrel of the manufacturer: JOHN CLIVE, a lot of photos at your disposal
