Head of the poet Homero (Greek poet, author of the Iliad and the Odyssey), made of lost-wax cast bronze by the artist Omero BORDO from Tarquinia - Etruria, Italy. Height 31 cm (excluding the wooden base) - width 25 cm - depth 28 cm - weight approx. 12.4 kg (12,400 g). It rests on a wooden base of 18 x 18 x 5 cm. Signed by the artist on bottom left. Overall height, including base: 36 cm - “The last Etruscan will continue to live” Omero Bordo, died in Tarquinia on 08/11/2018. Today, numerous works created by the skilled hands of Omero Bordo are mistaken for real authentic pieces. Many of them are exhibited in the most important museums in the world. Omero has received numerous awards and honours: the San Valentino d’Oro, the honorary degree in Boston for the Faculty of Etruscology, the Europa prize with the director Zeffirelli.
