100% original French Chasseurs Alpine (Mountain Troops) - Elite Infantry Corps Backpack as used from the end of the thirties and the second World War (WW2), until mid-50-ies. The counterpart of the WW2 German Gebirgsjager backpack. Manufactured by Lafuma commissioned by the French army for the Elite Corps Chasseurs Alpine, this copy is stamped 4-51, In the leather is; FABRICATION-LAFUMA visible. At the top are the letters C.C.B. present, as reference to the then Alpine Chasseur/Mountain Trooper/Gebirgsjager. 1. The backpack is complete with all leather belts, just the cord on the inside of the bag is missing * right side pocket has a little damage to the lid. The leather is mostly good, only a strap has a crack. 2.3. The Ammo Pounches or Ammunition bags measure 20x9x4cm, and equipped with a 'quick-open' clip in brass webbing. No visible stamps...
