Michael Bang - Holmegaard - Modell Sakura, Tischlampe (2)
In well-functioning condition, two wonderful 1970s Scandinavian design glass table lamps by Danish designer Michael Bang (1942–2013) for manufacturer Holmegaard. Both feature a manufacturer's label on the bottom.
Measurements: Total height 65 cm. Lamp shade height 28 cm x diameter 37 cm. Glass table lamp height 46 cm x diameter 20 cm.
Background information:
Michael Bang (1942–2013) was the son of Jacob E Bang, Holmegaard's first designer. Michael Bang was designer at the Odense Glass Factory in the 1960s and 1970s, but he and his family moved to Holmegaard in the 1980s when he started working for the Holmegaard Glass Factory. There, he managed the designs of the mouth-blown lamps in opal-white glass, which the Holmegaard glass factory specialised in.
Condition in accordance with its age and use. Some minor scratches and stains. Please take a good look at all the photos to get a good impression of this beautiful lot,
