Very detailed 1:24 scale model of the 1939 Duesenberg Coupe Simone produced by Franklin Mint in 1999. This is a very rare example that is complete with its HOOD ORNAMENT. Most of these that come up for auction are missing the very fragile but very beautiful hood ornament that was original to the car. The model features operating doors, hood and trunk. It has a great finish in two-tone lilac and silver with apple green metallic accents and a detailed interior including a crystal clear steering wheel. Includes the original brochure that accompanied the model. Part of Franklin Mint's Precision Models collection, this is a highly-detailed, hand-assembled and hand-finished model. The model has remained in its packaging and is in pristine condition. A rare find in rare condition, especially with the hood ornament.
