Ramón Vila was born in Olot in 1958. At the age of 16 he became interested in the art world, specially in painting. He studied at the Escuela de Artes Artísticas of Olot and Barcelona. He held his first exhibition at the age of 18 in his hometown, and from that moment he began to hold exhibitions in Catalonia and roughly two years later, throughout the Spanish state.
His pictorial career is based on works of realistic type, in particular the rural landscape, which surrounds him throughout the region of Garrotxa, El Ripollés and La Cerdanya. He has held exhibitions in Olot, Bañolas, Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida, Madrid and Castellón. And in collective exhibitions in England, Australia, Los Angeles, Paris, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, among others.
