Chess set The siege of Lucknow. The chess set was purchased around 1987. It is a real collector’s item by Franklin Mint. The plateau including game board is powdered white marble and designed in layers. The table is made of mahogany with copper on the feet. The table can be taken apart. The pieces are made of pewter and hand-painted and can be stored in the appropriate drawers with separate compartments for each chess piece. The chess pieces are fitted with text to the bottom: The forces of the Rebellion and the opponents: The Queens forces against the Mutineers. The extensive documentation and description of the chess pieces is complete. Upper top dimensions of 52 x 52 x 8.5 cm. The playing field is 30 x 30 cm. The table height is 68 cm. The height of the game pieces varies. The king is 8.5 cm, the queen 8 cm and a pawn 6.5 cm. The total weight is approx. 15 kg. This chess table and chess pieces are no longer manufactured! The table with the chess pieces can only be picked up. In consultation, delivery is possible within a certain region in the Netherlands.
