Gem - Rodeo 49 - Elektronisches Orgel - Italien - 1977

Synth/organ: Rodeo 49 Type: portable. Keyboard: 1; 49 notes (C-C). Registers: flute, wind instruments, brass instruments, string instruments. Effects: vibrato, wah-wah; automatic major, minor and seventh chords, alternating bass; electronic drums with 6 mixable rhythms. Amplification: built-in, 6 W RMS Polyphonic Analogue electric organ from the 1970s, 49-keys keyboard, rhythmic and accompaniment parts (manual or automatic). As controller there are the buttons of the general accompaniment volume and tempo. Two other buttons allow you to vary the type of chord (minor seventh). However, note the presence of vibrato and a ‘wah-wah’. This keyboard has an amplifier and a speaker (quite good, located underneath it) of good quality and sufficient power. Further small interesting details for transportation: it is equipped with a handle. The sound is big and warm. It can simulate the bass (no preset bass, but the sound of the organ played in the lower octaves and as a bass). The rhythms (vintage drum machines such as “boss cr78” etc.) do not seem numerous at first glance but can be combined (2 buttons are switched to a third different model, they can be activatedindependently or together) thus multiplying the possibilities. The preset ‘sounds’ are not very different, but rather vary in grain and filter, but again you can combine them and allow the combined organs to play warm polyphonic sounds. Keep in mind that this is not a synthesizer, so don't expect to modify the sounds on the machine; on the other hand, when they go through filters and external effects, the result will meet your expectations (especially the much more expensive organ and analogue synthesizers). You can still hear that kind of sound in today's music productions, in different styles such as electronic, trip hop, britpop, soul, dub, reggae...
