Interesting old/antique violin labelled Sebastien Kloz an 1700 This violin is a typical Kloz model violin with short corners and elongated c bouts. The scroll is broad and the head slightly leans forward as we often see with Kloz violins. The F holes are cut neatly and precise they stand straight and have a somewhat Stainer/Amati appearance. The violin is in an excellent condition, no cracks or repairs. It has not been cleaned and shows some old rosin spots and dirt. The varnish is of an attractive brown/red colour on a golden underground. You can see on the back that there is some attractive wear to the varnish towards the edges and in the center. The violin comes with good turning ebony pegs, ebony fingerboard, ebony tailpiece, bridge, soundpost and baroque strings which need to be replaced with modern strings.
