Elektrische Uhr 1930 - Bulle - Glas, Holz, Messing, Versilbert - Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts
Bulle electric clocks were developed in France before WWI (1914-1918). At a time when Europe, England and the US were busy developing battery-powered living room clocks. Two Frenchmen, Moulin and -Bulle, who worked independently on the development of an electric clock, found each other and developed the Bulle clock. By 1912, Moulin had developed a system using a three-pole magnet for use in an electric clock.
In 1920 the 'Compagnie Générale des Appareils Horo-Electriques' was founded to start the commercial production of the Bulle clock. The clocks were created between 1920 and 1952.
This beautiful Bulle clock in good condition is probably created around 1930 in France because of the thick brass quality (later used with thinner materials). The clock works, only I like to put it in the repair auction because some technical knowledge is required to get it working properly. I'd like to leave this to the experts. Special battery is needed. 1.5 volts.
4-Sided glass in brass profiles, hand-carved wooden decorative frames at the top and bottom and brass spacers. Silver-plated, openwork dial, not a second hand. The movement is clearly visible.
