Structure made of Reglar, patented by Artemide, a reinforced plastic resin, injection thermoformed, in dark brown, can be dismantled. Tabletop and table leg are perfectly intact and particularly shiny, with no change of colour despite being 40 years old; there is just a small part where the transparent finish is missing on the edge and some superficial scratches on the tabletop and on the base of the table and on the seat of a couple of chairs, which can probably be fixed with light mechanical shining. On the internal part of the base, on the large washers and fixing nut, there are signs of foxing. The table is, however, in very good condition overall. The Selene chair is a symbol of Italian industrial design, one of the most famous design pieces in the world, and it is exhibited in the most important design museums and collections, including the MOMA and the Vitra Design Museum. Seats and backrests undamaged and shiny, with no change in colour, just light superficial scratches on some seats, and small scratches on the insides of the front legs. The rubber feet are intact.
