For Mendini, Pinocchio was a cultural icon, conceived by Italian writer Carlo Collodi in 1883. This hand-decorated Pinnochio corkscrew is the first fairy tale character to come to life from the hand of Mendini. It takes him back to his early years. To make it extra special this one has been released in limited edition and is hand-decorated. This makes it a unique and very rare item, an exceptional and prominent object for all to enjoy. He was awarded the Compasso d'Oro prize. He reinvented the Alessi image. He worked for companies like Philips, Swarovski, Swatch and Bisazza.
