Suzanne Jaspart - Emaux de Longwy - Vase

Rare small vase in cloisonné and cracked enamels of Longwy. Entirely enamelled and handmade. Late Art Deco period: flowers, leaves and multicoloured rinceaux on a clear Sèvre blue background. Enhanced by Suzanne Jaspart (initials SJ in cursive on the back). Suzanne Jaspart joined the factory in 1951 and left it in 1953. In addition to enhancing pieces, she also made decorations, which is unusual at the Longwy factory (we can mention in the same case, the very famous Hélène Gabet and Rolande Rizzi). Having worked only 2 years at the earthenware factory, her works have a lot of value and are particularly sought after by collectors. Shape number 2098 and décor number 5900 at the base. Brand "Longwy France", "Decorated by hand", "Made in France" in simple green calligraphy (from 1930). The letters RS and RA are the initials of the workers involved in the production of the piece. Excellent condition. No lacks, cracks, hairs or restoration. Bright colours of the enamels. Dimensions (in centimetres): Height 10.5 Width at base 5.5 Width of neck 3.5 ‘Enamels from the Longwy factory are part of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity." Very careful and secure shipping from France (Colissimo), registered with insurance, tracking and signature required upon delivery, within 2-15 days depending on the country of destination. Make sure, however, to check the condition of the parcel contents in the presence of the delivery person. Otherwise and if the contents were broken the insurance would not work. Buyers are responsible for and must pay any customs fees and taxes.
