This is an unnumbered copy of 230 editions (65 hors commerce were unnumbered) and part of the third serie of the La Lune en Rodage books. La Lune en Rodage was published in three volumes in 1960, 1965 and 1977 containing a total of approximately 180 art pieces which provide an account of the artistic avant-garde scene between the 1950s and 1970s. The art works were gathered by Carl Laslzo and included the greatest artists of the time who contributed with important pieces, often marking a turning point in their production and carriers: Enrico Castellani’s work for example is his first documented graphic work and Piero Manzoni's multiple Achrome is the only one produced by the artist. Pietro Gallina (1937, Turin, Italy) is an italian artist. He is especially known as the creator of Nevigrafie (snow prints) and painted wooden silohuettes. Born in Turin, Gallina begin his art career after working since young in advertisement at Armando Testa Studio. In 1967 he started exploring visual arts, illustrations, and graphic experimentation. In the ‘70s he also he collaborates as graphic, for FrancoRosso Travel Agency, creating catalog covers. He designed several logo for different brands; His works are exhibited at MoMa ("portrait of Alighiero Boetti"), GAM and many other galleries around the world. In 2006, Bolaffi (for which Gallina created several art covers of collector's albums) guested him for a solo exhibition, which collected a comprehensive group of operas from different eras. One of the most recent exhibition was at the Turin Gallery of Modern Art in 2013.
