Officer Duck (Walt Disney, 1939) Donald Duck Animation Drawing "Calling Officer Duck, calling Officer Duck." Donald is sleeping on the job and gets a rude awakening in this marvelous drawing of 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings. This Clyde Geronimi-directed short opened with Donald catching a quick nap in his patrol car, jolting awake when he hears the instruction to bring in Tiny Tom on his radio. Tiny Tom, the not-so-tiny villain Pete, doesn't make it easy for him. This detailed full-figure sequence can be found early in the short at about 0:35. Incredibly fluid and expressive, capturing Donald's rocky return to the waking world. The drawings include a few notes in color pencil, one marked out but still readable and two others displaying the arc of motion that the animators needed to follow. Very Good condition overall with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear.
