RAW MOVES James Houston was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1965. He studied ceramic sculpture and design and held his first exhibition at the age of 19. Whilst working as an art director in the advertising industry, Houston took up photography as a hobby in 1992. He is now recognised as one of Australia's leading fashion photographers, and one of the top body and nude photo- graphers in the world. Houston's unique style of bodywork has won him several major photo- graphic awards and his work has been exhibited widely in Australia, the United States and Paris. In 1998 he launched RAW, which was his first published book and exhibition of nudes, shot over a five-year period. RAWMOVES was shot over five days.
