A very large African figure, actually a kind of totem pole, which consists of 4 squatting male figures sitting on top of each other. The characters have various objects in their hands such as stones, wood and grain. The top figure has hair made of dried grass. The figure is particularly large, 2.20 m, and made of one single piece of wood. The bottom has a wooden base making it solid and ensuring it doesn't topple. The figure, and then mainly the facial expressions of the characters, resembles the figures from the Songye tribe from Congo, it is not clear whether this is from there. It is possible the maker was inspired by this. This piece is unique in its kind and a real asset to your interior.
