Some of the photographs were printed on thick paper and were taken at a photo studio. The album is also wonderfully decorated and is a fine copy. Notably, a photograph of the Great Kanto Earthquake is included at the end. The Great Kanto Earthquake occurred 100 years ago, two minutes before noon on September 1, 1923. It was a very large natural disaster with a death toll of over 100,000. Since the earthquake occurred at noon, many households were using fire for cooking, and the fire spread in the afternoon due to strong winds, and most of Tokyo was burned to the ground. Important works of art were also burned down, and some of Japan's cultural inheritance was disrupted. Photos of this tragic event are included in this album.
