The instrument remains in excellent condition with professionally repaired cracks, old ebony set up, new strings and new bridge. The violin has a straight high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The varnish of golden amber color remains in excellent condition. The whole length of the violin is 592 mm and the back 354 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 160 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 197 mm.
