Stunning large early 20th century Gustav Oppel pair of porcelain figurines or sculptures, featuring dancers in their 'Finale' pose. Porcelain was manufactured by the Porzellanfabrik Aelteste Volkstedter Factory, located in Selb, Germany, the base is inscribed with the respective mark and "Germany". Engraved with the name of the respective artist also. A characteristic piece from the "Art Deco" period, it is in good condition, although with slight flaws in the lace of the female figure's skirt. No other cracks or restorations. Standing ca. 26 cm tall and weighing 1180g. Note: The piece has a perforation on the back of the base, which may mean that it was used to support a lamp.
