Statue, Large 'Rod of Asclepius' Pharmacists Statue - 28 cm - Polyresin, Kaltbronzefarbe

Very detailed statue of the Rod of Asclepius Very fine art and high quality. 28cm high What is cold-painted bronze? The term is used online to describe colorful bronze or spelter figures. Cold-painting was a technique popular during the art deco period, which started in the 1920s. Cold-painting relates to the surface finish, a key element in this type is bronze, and it can involve several processes which take place after the casting is complete. Work on the surface of a cast figurin gives texture and sharpens surface details. Several layers of heavy lead based paint are then applied to the statue so it looks as real bronze. In Greek mythology, the Rod of Asclepius (Greek: Ράβδος του Ασκληπιού, Rábdos tou Asklipioú, sometimes also spelled Asklepios), also known as the Staff of Aesculapius and as the asklepian,[1] is a serpent-entwined rod wielded by the Greek god Asclepius, a deity associated with healing and medicine. Theories have been proposed about the Greek origin of the symbol and its implications. In modern times, it is the predominant symbol for medicine and health care although, because of a misunderstanding, the Caduceus (the symbol of commerce) is sometimes seen in this context. This Xclusive item will be shipped very well packed. Furthermore, fragile tape will be placed on the package and a track code to track your package is available after sending out.
