However, he survived, and recovered enough to race again just six weeks later at the Italian Grand Prix. The helmet is based on a original 70's race helmet, everything is still original, such as the visor and the inner liners, it has some minor marks but this adds much to its appeal and character. The inside lining and foam are still in good condition considering its age, it's almost 50 years old and still fully original. This helmet is an original vintage, with a Snell 1970 inside (so it was approved for high speed motor sports such as F1).
