Alessi - Abi Alice - Schüssel - ''Resonance'' - 18/10 Edelstahl

The Resonance (fruit) holder was designed by Abi Alice in 2008 for Alessi. The name “Resonance” is derived from her conviction that when the final composition is harmonious, it is like a melodious sound resonating in the air. The gently twisting and layering of stainless steel results in a almost floral three-dimensional design. Alice wanted to give the Resonance holder a harmonious composition with the intention to illustrate how the same fundamental geometries can be used to produce three different outcomes: a drawing, a painting and an object. The piece is handly made by cutting, folding and curving sheet steel which makes it an unique and impressive reflection of craftsmanship. The Resonance fruit holder is in a new and unused condition. Delivered with original packaging. The black ''Alessi'' brand at the middle of the holder is a sticker that can be removed. Abi Alice: Abi Alice was born in Sydney, Australia. She has a Bachelors (completed 1996) and a Masters degree in Fine Art (completed 2007), from the Sculpture, Performance and Installation Department at the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. The designs by Abi Alice reflect the young Australian’s interest in geometry and mathematics. She spread her artistic practice across a variety of disciplines like photography, painting and design. For her product design, she is often inspired by her abstract paintings. Alice's work is represented in public and private collections around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
