This makes it one of the oldest producers and exporters of Madeira Wine, internationally known for the quality of its wines. In 1993, it became internationalized, making an association with one of the larger French groups of wine and spirit distribution – C.O.F.E.E.P also knows as La Martiniquaise - building a new winery with the intention of improving the conditions in which its wines are made, in particular the process of vinification, production and aging. This large, modern and functional winery has been equipped so as to combine traditional methods with the most advanced technology available. Today, Justino’s Madeira holds one of the largest stocks of Madeira wine on the island, including high quality wines aged in oak casks, which enables the company to meet the requirement of the most demanding and selective consumers. Over the years, Justino’s Madeira Wines, S.A. has become one of the leading producers and exporters of Madeira Wine thanks to the acknowledged quality of its wines and the substantial increase in its production capacity. VINIFICATION Manual harvest, with qualitative selection, over several weeks depending on the state of maturation. Total stalking, crushing and pressing. Open spout winemaking. Fermented entirely in stainless steel vats. Interruption of fermentation by adding wine alcohol (96º). Addition of wine alcohol made after 4 - 5 days of fermentation to maintain the desired amount of sugars. Winemaking using traditional methods. Aged using the traditional Canteiro system, in French and American oak barrels of different capacities. 1996 TASTING NOTES Attractive and bright amber color. Intense aromas reminiscent of orange peel, dried fruit and caramel. In the mouth, medium sweet, with aromas of nuts and spices. Very balanced with an elegant and long finish. 2009 TASTING NOTES Christmas cake, burnt caramel orange blossom, candied fruit with balanced acidity and a warm savoury finish. The Boal variety (Malvasia Fina in mainland Portugal) produces semi-sweet, medium-bodied and rich wines, which are highly appreciated for their acidity/sweetness balance and their characteristic aroma acquired during aging in casks. This Colheita Boal 2009 corresponds to a year that proved capable of highlighting, not only the characteristics of the grape variety, but also the impact of on-site aging. A distinct Madeira, with passion, soul and a lot of heart. SERVING Excellent when served with cheeses, tropical fruits, cakes, custard tarts, fruit tarts, butter cookies and berries. As an aperitif, serve at a temperature of 10ºC; as a dessert wine, serve at 16ºC. 1996 TASTING NOTES
Attractive and bright amber color. Intense aromas reminiscent of orange peel, dried fruit and caramel. In the mouth, medium sweet, with aromas of nuts and spices. Very balanced with an elegant and long finish.

2009 TASTING NOTES
Christmas cake, burnt caramel orange blossom, candied fruit with balanced acidity and a warm savoury finish. TASTING NOTES
Wine with an attractive and bright deep amber color. Intense aromas reminiscent of dark chocolate, molasses and caramel. Medium sweet in the mouth, it presents with complex aromas and flavors of dried fruits, spices and nuts.

SERVING
It goes well with cheeses, tropical fruit, cakes, cream cakes, fruit tarts, butter biscuits and red fruits. Store in an upright position, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature between 15ºC and 18ºC. Consume in moderation.
