Alessi - Andrea Branzi - Vase - ''Tronchetto'' - 18/10 Edelstahl mit Holzsockel

The ''Tronchetto'' flower vase, a creation by renowned designer Andrea Branzi for Alessi, is a captivating piece that invites diverse interpretations depending on the observer's perspective. This unique object transforms into a cross when adorned with a flower, taking on a symbolic significance that transcends religious contexts. According to Branzi, it embodies an ambient sign capable of autonomously altering the meaning of a space, tapping into an ancient, universal language. Named after the artificial island ''Tronchetto'' in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy, this vase draws inspiration from the island's shapes. The design reflects the inherent mystery and spirituality of anthropological symbols, suggesting that these objects possess a spirit. Much like the enigmatic '''Tronchetto'' vase, they communicate through an ancestral language, evoking a sense of profundity. Functioning both as an installation and an object of daily use, the ''Tronchetto'' vase emanates ancestral energy into its surroundings. Despite its simplicity, it holds a remarkable expressive power, showcasing Andrea Branzi's distinctive approach to channeling simplicity to reveal the purest, most elementary, and intense dimensions. The ''Tronchetto'' vase stands as a testament to Branzi's ability to infuse humble objects with profound meaning, creating a harmonious blend of contemporary design and timeless symbolism. Branzi reacted to the ''Tronchetto'' creation: “I am not sure if this object can represent a new access to Wonderland for Alice. My objects have always melded imagination with hard materials, craftsmanship and industrial techniques in the hope that they rouse new flights of fancy in the people who use them.” This ''Tronchetto'' flower vase is in a new condition and has never been used.
