As strong black outlines denote a rather interesting creature that's not quite human or animal, a jovial and carefree mood comes over us as we take in the creature's pleasure of its equally strange surroundings. Created in 1972, the original lithograph is one in a series of eleven lithographs created to illustrate the text by Michel Leiris.
