Very difficult to find outside a private collection The vintage Distilled in 1987 in a traditional two-column copper still, Creole type, this agricultural rum from Martinique is made from sugar cane growing on a 400-hectare estate, located at the foot of Montagne Pelée, between the Roches and Macouba rivers. The combination of volcanic terroir, sun and humidity creates an exceptional and very aromatic rum. JM rums are also distinguished by the use of pure spring water, rich in minerals, from Mount Pelée, which brings great purity to the final nectar. This old rum from Martinique then spent ten years in carefully selected oak barrels before being bottled at 50% abv. Each year, the cellar master tops up the barrels with rums of the same age, in order to limit contact with oxygen and preserve the character of each vintage. Absolutely worth discovering.
