Very old mechanical piggy banks in cast iron, made in England We found these 2 collectibles in the attic of a deceased toy collector. They are mechanical piggy banks from the 1940s and 50s made of painted cast iron. Made in England They both work and are in great vintage condition. Put a coin in your hand and pull the little handle on the back of the figure and they will swallow the coins and roll their eyes. They are 18-20.5 cm tall and 12.5-15 cm wide and weigh between 2400-2550 grams each. From left to right they are: A) Jolly man bank with top hat and stamped on the bottom with JE Stevens PAT. 455 1896. (The black you see on his back is us deleting the N word in the pictures, which we don't want to advertise, but it is of course on the figure in real life) B) Lady with blue sweater and white scarf on her head with no stamps on the bottom.
