If your object doesn’t reach its reserve price during the auction, you may have the option to offer it to other bidders from the auction for the price of the top bid. This gives you another chance to sell without resubmitting.
How it works:
If eligible, you’ll receive an email asking if you want to extend an offer.
You have 2 working days to decide.
For objects with a top bid under €2,500: offers are sent to the top 3 highest bidders at the same time. The first bidder to accept and pay wins the object.
For objects between €2,500 and €5,000: offers are sent sequentially – first to the highest bidder, then the second, and third if needed.
For objects over €5,000: Catawiki directly contacts the highest bidders to help finalise the sale.
Key details:
Bidders have 72 hours to accept and pay.
Payment must be made immediately for acceptance to be valid.
Once a buyer accepts and pays, you’ll be notified and must ship within 3 working days.
This process improves your chances of selling while ensuring faster payments and quicker transactions.
