Vanguard is the name given to the phenomena of acting, especially artistic and literary, more daring, innovative and ahead of its taste and knowledge, developed in the twentieth century resulting from nineteenth-century political-cultural trends, characterized by the formation of groupings of artists under a specific poster signed by them.
The vanguard was established as a response to the predominance of bourgeois art and utilitarian mindset, when the market absorbs even art itself. In an effort to avoid the marketability, the antagonism of the vanguard is spread over different levels: at political level, with an anarchist attitude; on a psychological level, with awareness of the division of the subject; on an artistic level, with the refusal of patterns and traditional genres.
The attitude of the vanguard rejected the horizon of tradition (leading to the utmost challenge of originality) and kitschy production — the invasion of bad taste. It can be said, more generally, that the vanguard is opposed to common sense, to medium grade, to the potty.
In this context we include this sculpture from the 30s of the "black Venus with pearl earrings laying nude"
