Volkswagen - FT Bonito polyester sports car - 1967

FT Bonito = Fiberfab polyester replica of FORD GT 40 = three-time winner of the Le MANS 24-hour race (1966 etc). The sandblasted chassis is built on a Volkswagen 113032 Automatic (converted into a 4-speed) and then painted with 5 layers. It is equipped with a fine 1600 cc (renewed) 4-cylinder boxer engine, 2 Recaro sports seats, a tachometer (8000 rpm), ATS light-alloy 5 1/2J X15 H2 rims, and Michelin 185/70 VR15 XWX tyres. With a completely new brake system, and disc brakes in the front. The car is rolling, brakes are connected and all necessary components are present. Approximately 30 to 50 hours of work is still needed (supplier Emves estimated a total construction time of 150 to 300 hours). Licence plate 24/11/1967, the car doesn’t have a current inspection. Weight is 830 kg. Colour: green (Porsche colour). The paintwork has some discolouration and light damage. The car has been family-owned since 1987 (demonstrable and self-built). This vehicle can be viewed (on a ramp) in Bleiswijk, the Netherlands.
