8 very nice West Javan wayang puppets, strong characters for as far as I can recognise them, incl. Semar, Kresna, Arjuna, Brajadenta. Handcarved and very finely detailledly painted and with traditional clothing. These puppets were used in a performance in the 50s of the 20th century. They are about 65 cm in height when standing, as is shown. Condition: considering the age in nice and good used condition with signs of use, some parts of the fabric have been touched by age as can be seen in the photos.
