About the Black Sea Barracuda: This set was released on the market in 1989. Along with the other LEGO Pirates sets from that line, for the first time new and different LEGO faces were applied. Like a head with an eye patch, a head with moustache and the female face with lipstick. In addition to the 8 new and unique mini figures, there is also for the first time a parrot and the famous monkey included in a LEGO set. The ship is recognizable by its red and white striped sails. This was again applied in later sets but there are few ships that made it further than the Black Seas Barracuda. The wheel was designed especially for this set, along with the printed tile with treasure map. What was also new in the set are the cannons and the gold coins in the treasure chest. In addition to all these new stones and heads back then, it was endlessly fun. You can open the deck valves to look into the captain's quarters. The back of the ship you can open to get a glimpse in the hut. In addition to the many play features, building it is lots of fun. With no less than 865 bricks the LEGO Pirates 6285 Black Seas Barracuda remains a great set! About this set: All LEGO is unused, has only partially been built up 1 time. No damage, no wear. The flags, the rope and the mini figures with accessories are still in the original sealed packaging. The sails have never been used and are still attached. There are some minor spots due to age, but those can be easily removed. Everything is checked and is complete. The booklet is in very good condition 8/10. The box is also in very good condition 8/10.
